Oyster Bah is a Lincoln Park seafood restaurant that specializes in oysters and casual seafood dishes such as clam chowder, garlic shrimp and crab cakes.  They also have plenty of non-seafood fare for the those who are aquatic food challenged.  Today, we chose to stick to the Restaurant Week pre-fixe menu which included a choice from three appetizers and four entrees.  We both started with the clam chowder, which was very good but maybe a bit rich for some.  We then moved on to the crispy cod tacos (Theresa) and traditional fish and chips (Tom).  The tacos came loaded with fresh cilantro, cabbage slaw and Pico De Gallo.  On the side were tortilla chips and a fiery salsa.  They were excellent, but the cod was a tad greasy and the salsa for the chips was way too hot – even for people like us that love spicy salsa.  The fish and chips came with three large pieces of cod, a very generous helping of well-cooked fries and a side of coleslaw.  Like the cod on the tacos, the flavor was excellent, but the cod was a little greasy.  The shoestring fries, however, were excellent.

We washed our meal down with a glass of wine and a Bloody Mary respectively, both were very good.  If you are looking for a good casual restaurant and oyster bar, this is a good place to try out.  The staff is friendly, the décor is interesting, and the service is pretty good.
